DAY BY DAY
10 km. Vertical gain: 500m
Meet in Corrençon-en-Vercors at 8:30 am, at the golf course parking lot. You should already have all of the required gear (you can rent gear at Sport Bec Skis, a shop in Corrençon-en-Vercors open from 08:30-19:00). Transfer by bus to the expedition starting point.
Training and preparation with professional guides: learn pulk sledding, orienteering, and winter camping techniques, as well as how to use an avalanche transceiver. Camp as a group in expedition tents.
15 km. Vertical gain: 450m. Vertical drop: 350m.
Start a one-night, 24-hour, self-sufficient adventure without a guide, if you wish.
Melanie, will lead the way and set a track if you would like to follow it.
Choose your own campsite location, and set up your tent on your own. (For those who are not yet ready, you can camp with Melanie).
10 km. Vertical gain: 250m. Vertical drop: 500m.
Ski the last 10km together as a group.
Enjoy a final meal together at the guest house in Corrençon-en-Vercors. End of the trip 3 pm.
We recommend doing the Vercors traverse on touring skis, easier with the vertical drops.
